just writing 2 thank every one in the team for the weekend away and the supporters JT AND IAN MCBRIDE BENNY GEZ

we never got a bit of luck in the last 32

we need to get together to sort this team out once and for all
there,s no harmony in the team all we done was moan at each other at the wrong times
if a guy is not picked it should be sorted out after the game or before
am not getting on anyones back but its not good for the team
once the captain picks it thats it ( we all cant play at once)

we need more meetings after games and before games
and respect people that are in our caravans
am not saying dont get pished but we need to get our acts the gether cause its not fair on the other people who dont
get rote off

just like to say well done to jim he was diff class when asked to perform and walker never got a bit of luck the whole weekend
apart from the poker mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

so thanks again for the weekend

I agree. There were a few comments made before the weekend and also a couple more made during the weekend that Jim should never have been in the team but yet again, he's proved the critics wrong and turned in performances which saw him make the top 3 in the stats YET AGAIN which I think more than justifies his inclusion in the squad.

I'm sure he'll agree there are a lot of better players in the league but he consistently produces performances at these big events so again, well done mate round of applause
Form is temporary, luck is permanent.

Couldnt agree with Billy more!

A serious Team meeting required before the 15's

I wish the B Team had the quality of the A Team

Because we sure have the Harmony and Team Gel

The only thing the A team lacks

Get it together lads!

And Mulvay, give Housty and Geo a break

and if you have something to say mulvay just say it dont hide behind the stats

the problem in the team is there is a divide between kilsyth/kirki there is too many people with too many opinions on pickin the team, until this problem is addressed there will be no harmony in the team, too many chiefs and not enough indians.

4 players told housty to stick his team up his apse, some on more than one occasion some team spirit that is ?

am gonnae book an appointment with the dentist come 11/12 november tell him to randomly pull out three teeth, it will be more fun rather than listen to grown men bitch and back stab each other

p.s the walkso fur the league singleskiss

the best way to look at it is take stats for players for say 2 or 3 or 4 of these comps work out an average and pick the team based on that
maybe over 40%
just a suggestion

wullie doc with good stats yet again at these events he was a big loss
bad ball for last

Best Captain I ever played under was Mark Gillulley, if you were dropped and questioned it you were asked to leave the team and never come back.

His reason being he had dropped you, in his opinion for the good of the team as a whole and if you could not accept that you were not a team player.

Best team I ever played in, best team spirit and best pub team in Scotland for years.

Second best Captain I ever played under, Robert Hoey snr, gave his all, pool through and through and being captain never affected his game on the table.

Just look at his recent dropping of a player, back the guy comes with his tail between his legs and takes two great finishes next time out.

THAT'S CAPTAINCY!

These guys cannot dictate to the captain, the captain dictates to them!

I am not sure what has been said and what has not, either face to face or behind backs. It is slightly different for me in that I sit between the Kilsyth contingent and the Kirky contingent. Quite frankly I prefer that and anyone who knows me would know I would not talk behind backs and question people who are trying to do a good job. I also read some real sh*** on this website from time to time so hear is my opinion:

Willie Docherty did not want to play. I know him longer than most of you and I know he wanted to drop out. He changed his mind but that is tough as you cannot then go and let someone down. I hope Willie is in the team next time and will ensure he makes his intention known well in advance.

There is a divide here in the 2 camps but that should not matter. We all go with personal pride and look to do our best. Others looking at stats is irrelevant as the captain picks the team - full stop.

I know as well as most that we all like to go and enjoy ourselves and have a wee drink! But there is no doubt that we went further than that and some went past what is acceptable in terms of being able to perform next day. The stats speak volumes here as those work affected by drink performed worst. Not difficult to work this one out. I am annoyed at the fact that I only lost one game again but missed 2 games because of the carry on.

The team must be picked on merit but that can be argued all day in terms of performances at County (where some people play better than others) or IM or league singles etc....etc...
So that leaves the captain and vice captain as responsible for picking the team. My only criticism here is that we held a meeting and agreed to take 13 people. This was changed to 14 which I think is a mistake and increases the pressure on who to drop.

What we need to learn is that these tournaments all come down to the Sunday and the knockout. We need to perform when it matters although we were very unlucky in the first 4 games of our match. The balls really did go against us but that is life.
